The Will of Sheikh Al-Allamah Rabi’ bin Hadi Umair Al-Madkhali (may Allah have mercy on him)Who passed away on Thursday night,
15 Muharram 1447 AH
The funeral prayer was performed in the Prophet’s Mosque on Thursday morning And he was buried in Al-Baqi’ cemetery (may Allah have mercy on him and grant him spacious in jannah)
Indeed, all praise is due to Allah. We praise Him, seek His help, and ask for His forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allah from the evil of ourselves and from our bad deeds. Whomever Allah guides, none can misguide, and whomever He leads astray, none can guide.
I testify that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah alone with no partner, and I testify that Muhammad is His servant and messenger.
“O you who believe! Fear Allah as He should be feared and do not die except as Muslims.
“O mankind! Fear your Lord who created you from a single soul and created from it its mate and dispersed from both of them many men and women. And fear Allah through whom you ask one another, and the wombs. Indeed Allah is ever, over you, an Observer.
“O you who believe! Fear Allah and speak words of appropriate justice. He will amend for you your deeds and forgive you your sins. And whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger has certainly attained a great attainment.
“As for what follows: The best speech is the Book of Allah, and the best guidance is the guidance of Muhammad (peace be upon him), and the worst matters are the newly invented ones, and every innovation is a misguidance, and every misguidance is in the Fire.
As for what follows: This is a will to all Muslims from a weak servant – who is about to depart this world and approach the Hereafter – to fear Allah as He should be feared, to hold firmly together to His rope, not to divide, and not to split their religion.
For in the fear of Allah and holding firmly to His rope – the Book and Sunnah – lies their happiness and leadership in this world and the Hereafter. In division and disagreement lies their humiliation and degradation. Their unity and solidarity cannot be achieved except through the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger (peace be upon him).
They must take this great means that necessitates happiness in this world and the Hereafter, and stay away from what opposes it of division and disagreement, which are the cause of misery and humiliation in this world and the Hereafter.
I advise the Salafis among them, who are distinguished by holding firmly to the Book and Sunnah and calling to them, to multiply their efforts in reforming the conditions of Muslims in belief, worship, politics, economy, society, and other affairs of Muslim life that must all be based on the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger (peace be upon him). They should clarify this to all Muslims and demonstrate their good intentions and objectives, that they want nothing for this nation except good, all good, and they only want to repel every evil and hardship that has befallen this nation as a result of their departure from holding firmly to the Book and Sunnah.
I advise students of knowledge and scholars from various orientations to fear Allah regarding their nation. Fear Allah regarding this nation and strive with all they can to return the nation to the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger (peace be upon him) and what the righteous predecessors were upon in terms of belief, worship, politics, society, and morals. They should stay completely away from desires and causes of disagreement that have severely affected the nation.
The time has come for these people to rise to achieve these noble goals and keep Muslims away from everything that causes them weakness and humiliation. The latter part of this nation will not be reformed except by what reformed its first part.
Everyone must realize that this nation only achieved superiority over all nations because it was the best nation brought forth for mankind, enjoining good, forbidding evil, and believing in Allah. And that the early Muslims from the Companions and those who followed them in excellence achieved this superiority by the testimony of Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him):
“The best of people are my generation, then those who follow them, then those who follow them. Then there will come people who will testify without being asked to testify, who will be treacherous and not trustworthy, and who will make vows but not fulfill them, and obesity will appear among them.
“And his saying (peace be upon him):
“The righteous will depart one after another, and there will remain the dregs like the dregs of barley or dates, for whom Allah will not care at all.”The bearers of knowledge must sincerely advise for Allah’s sake, His Book, His Messenger, the believers, and the general and specific Muslims until Allah, Blessed and Exalted, saves whom He saves of the Muslims from the state of worthlessness and dregs. For there is no reason for this except the departure of many of them from holding firmly to Allah’s Book and referring judgment to Allah and His Messenger (peace be upon him).
If they declare this with seriousness and truthfulness, much good will be achieved for this nation.
We ask Allah, Blessed and Exalted, to achieve this and to remove from the Muslims all causes of humiliation and degradation from the dividing causes, envy, hatred, and animosity whose effects are felt by everyone who wants good for this nation.
End of will from Shaykh Rabee.
